Bringing a voice for everyday citizens to the DeKalb County Commission

Kenneth Chung Royal, originally from Miami, FL, and now a Stone Mountain, GA, resident, has embraced Georgia as his home since high school. After residing in South Georgia for some time, Kenneth settled in DeKalb County in 2015. Since then, he has actively devoted his free time to community activism, collaborating with organizations such as the DeKalb Democrats and the DeKalb NAACP. Additionally, Kenneth serves as a member of the Democratic Party of Georgia's State Committee.

Kenneth's initial exposure to public service occurred during his tenure in law enforcement. He served as a Police Officer in Statesboro, beginning with the Statesboro Police Department and later with Georgia Southern University. This valuable experience instilled in him a profound appreciation for the work of law enforcement while also emphasizing the importance of addressing training and compensation to ensure the highest level of service by officers in protecting the residents they serve.

Over the years, Kenneth has pursued his Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, ventured into small business ownership, and works in corporate recruiting for CBRE. Alongside these endeavors, he has started a family and takes immense pride in being a dedicated husband and father of three. Throughout it all, Kenneth has remained steadfast in his desire to serve and contribute to the advancement of his community, driven by his passion for witnessing the prosperity of his neighbors and the overall community. Now, he is stepping up to apply his life experiences and unwavering commitment to serving the DeKalb County Commission's Super District Seven constituents.
